Design
I start with the need, the people and the setting to define objectives, activities, resources and evaluation criteria.
Roberto Pagnoncelli
I design and support programmes and experiences built around sport, play and movement, with an educational, relationship-focused and person-centred approach.
I work with schools, sports associations, education providers and organisations to turn an idea or a need into a practical project.
I support schools, sports associations, education providers and organisations in several ways.
From needs analysis to project planning: participants, objectives, methodology, activities, resources, feasibility and launch.
Creating new experiences through sport, play and movement: concept, programme, organisation and participant experience, through to the first delivery.
Training for educators, instructors and practitioners in activity design, group management, educational relationships, inclusion, and the use of play and movement.
Alongside project design, I also work directly in the field to supervise and, where needed, lead activities.
I hold a degree in Physical Education and Adapted Physical Activity and work as an independent professional across Bergamo, Milan and Monza, Italy.
Over almost ten years, I have worked with children, adults and older people in education, sport and adapted physical activity settings, including abroad.
My approach combines observation, listening, adaptation and care for relationships, using play as an educational tool.
Today, I increasingly combine hands-on delivery with the design and development of movement, sport and education programmes, supporting them from initial idea to implementation.

Physical Education and Adapted Physical Activity: the scientific and methodological foundation of my work.
Experience in vocational education and early years settings, spanning physical education, group activity facilitation and activities built around play and movement.
Experience with children, teenagers, adults and older people through RunBabyRun, Sociosfera and CUS Bergamo, as well as an Erasmus+ placement with ARPER in Huesca, Spain.

PROVA is the practical cycle I use to turn a need into a concrete intervention. I design and deliver, then observe and review what emerges to adapt activities and improve them over time. The acronym retains the Italian steps: Progettare (Design), Realizzare (Deliver), Osservare (Observe), Verificare (Review) and Adattare (Adapt).
I start with the need, the people and the setting to define objectives, activities, resources and evaluation criteria.
I put the project into practice, coordinating what is needed and taking care of the participants’ experience.
I observe individuals, the group and the setting to understand dynamics, participation and responses to the activities.
I compare what happens with the initial objectives to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
I adjust activities, organisation and delivery in response to observation and evaluation.

MAGIC is my approach to designing and leading movement and education experiences. It starts with the person and the setting to create meaningful, adaptable activities that build relationships and support wellbeing.
The body as a tool for discovery. I use movement to help people understand themselves, express themselves, connect with others and explore new experiences.
Active listening opens the way to empathy. I observe individuals, the group and the setting to understand them.
Play is a fundamental language and a space for connection. I create a safe place to explore, have fun and learn.
Intention provides direction. Through study and design, I identify an objective and a purpose to work towards.
Care means creating safety and respecting people and their individual worlds as I support them on their journeys.
Selected projects and experiences showing how I take sport, play and movement from design to delivery in education, sport and wellbeing settings.
The need. Turning sport and education ideas into activities, camps and events that can be delivered in practice.
I founded GoodGame with two colleagues to develop programmes in which play and movement support education and wellbeing. We design and coordinate initiatives for the local community.
Design and coordination of a multisport camp centred on play, movement and experimentation.
Developing initiatives that use sport and movement to encourage participation and wellbeing.
Developing proposals and activity formats with the other co-founders, supporting them from idea to implementation.
The need. Making physical activity accessible and adaptable for older people with different characteristics and needs.
I lead physical activity sessions within Formula100, adapting activities, intensity and demands to participants’ characteristics and responses.
Leading physical activity sessions aimed at preventing frailty in older people.
Adapting activities and demands to the group’s characteristics, needs and responses.
The need. Turning learning content into experiences designed and delivered by students in real settings.
I support students from planning to delivering practical experiences, including sports tournaments for local vocational training centres (CFP) and play activities in early years settings.
Design and delivery of a sports tournament day for local vocational training centres (CFP).
Design and delivery of a day of games at an early years school.
The need. Structuring coherent, manageable multisport camps, from programme planning to hands-on delivery.
I design and organise multisport summer camps, overseeing programme planning, operational coordination and, when needed, leading activities directly.
Designing the activity structure and programme for multisport summer camps.
Coordinating activities during the delivery of the camps.
Supporting operational management by leading activities directly as an instructor.
Whether you represent a school, sports association, education provider, cooperative or another organisation, I am available for an initial conversation with no obligation.
